Prophecy, The Church, and The End Times
(Garry J. Hodgkin - 176 pages)
Pastor Garry Hodgkin is a long serving Australian Adventist pastor. Amongst other pastoral responsibilities he has, he presently is a Faith FM Drive Time radio show presenter two days each week in Adelaide. His book is easily read, most engaging and addresses the rapidly changing religious world and how woke culture is making inroads into Christian faith and belief. He says that once in times past our Christian culture in western countries was the foundation of our morality but with the erosion of our Christian culture our morality is determined by what the individual wants to do. There is no absolute right now. If it feels good for a person then it must be good. Feelings and gratification now determine an individual’s morality, and you dare not criticise and point out the dangers. Satan has turned this all around and we have no longer an absolute standard of morality. He argues that the change applies way beyond the confusion over sexual morality that exists today.
The moral milieu now existing is permeating all Christian faiths, including Adventism. A message coming through in his book is beware and take care to resist!
He writes – Increasingly Christianity is morphing into a form that would be unrecognisable to those in previous generations. Prophecy, the Church and the End Times considers the world’s religious direction through a renewed focus on Bible prophecy.
The book is specifically written for the layperson.
