#04 - 1888: On the Borders of Canaan DVD
(Walter Veith - 1 DVD)
This typological study compares the experience of the children of Israel as they were on the borders of Canaan about to enter the Promised Land with the Advent movement in 1888. The failure of the Israelite movement to enter Canaan was emulated by the antitypical Israel. Unfortunately, the antitype is always of greater extent than the type and the experience of the Advent movement clearly demonstrates this phenomenon. Parallels between Caleb and Joshua and the events that occurred in 1888 bring out this relationship between type and antitype. Be challenged as you consider the historical impact of the Advent movement’s experiences and the future ahead.
