More Encouraging News from Our Bible Worker, Hayley

In Hayley’s own words:

‘I just want to say thank you for every prayer that has been prayed for the work that we have been doing and for any financial help that is sent to support this work. God is always with us doing this work and there are so many blessings every week.

We have been going each week into the city on a Wednesday to the State Library and every week God sends new people to receive the books.

To our surprise we have been getting any number of Muslim people taking books when in the past they would not have taken them. One occasion that stands out to me was a young Muslim Girl in a wheel chair who wanted many books and I was very happy to give them to her, but then I actually said to her “are you allowed to have or read these books” and her response was, “if I am not I will read them in private, they won’t stop me”. This was a great encouragement to me.

The last few weeks have been full of Gods goodness! Three weeks ago we had a man come to speak with us outside the state library, and was telling us how he had received the book the Secret Terrorist in the protests of 2020-2021 in the CBD of Melbourne. This happens every so often and most are very supportive and say to us keep up the good work, but this man was different. He was happy to speak with us and told us about a special group of Christians that have been meeting in the city for the last few years. He told us that they meet there through-out the week and every Friday night to have a Shabbat meal together and that he thought we should meet their group. Before he left we gave him The Great Controversy, he took our numbers and prayed with us and said he would be in contact with us when God opens the way.

He contacted us a week later to arrange a time to meet up. We had no idea what was expected of us or where we were going or how many we would be meeting or for how long, we just went in faith.

We were taken to meet up with some of the people from this little group. This was a wonderful experience to meet up with them and we sang hymns and prayed, we shared a communion service with bread and wine (non-alcoholic), and they had lunch prepared for us. This was an amazing blessing with total strangers, people that really love God and are actively showing what it is to be a Christian.

While we were there, they were asking about our books that we hand out in the city. This was a great opportunity to share with the group that we met. Each of the people received The Great Controversy, Desire of Ages, Steps to Christ, Ministry of Healing, Counsels on Diet and Food, Inside Daniel and Revelation and what we call the duo Steps to Christ on one side and the other side is the last 8 chapters of Great Controversy.

This group have prayer meetings all through the week and have prayer through-out the day and night. There are four other church groups that meet up at the same building and the people we met are wanting some of our books to hand out to the other church groups and other people which come and stay in this apartment building.

Please pray for our friendships to grow and that the Holy Spirit will guide them as they read the books to bring them to a greater understanding of the Bible truths.’
