Bible Worker Report - March 2025

Hayley says - It was an incredible blessing for me to have Steps to Life to host Dr Conrad Vine’s visit to Melbourne and hold a series of talks over the weekend.

It was lovely to meet so many beautiful people of like-minded faith over the weekend of his visit. So many who believe the three angel’s messages and have a desire to spread the gospel to the world.

You may have seen the “Blue Bible” Dr Vine had with him while he was speaking. These are the result of a project several lay people have been working on that has become a reality. These Bibles are a low cost version of the full King James Version and are complete with 32 Bible studies in the back that will take the reader to the foot of the cross. Thank you to everyone that purchased blue Bibles at the meeting, to use and share. Nearly 2000 were sold.

We are continuing to visit in the CBD of Melbourne and meet with people outside the Melbourne Library. We have a display table from where we hand out books, especially The Great Controversy book.

It is amazing to meet different people from different backgrounds. I had an opportunity to speak with two Muslim girls, these girls were a bit timid at first but once we chatted for a while the barriers softened. I was able to talk about The Great Controversy and explained the cover (which has the White House reflecting the Vatican), how our freedoms were about to be taken away, and that all religions including theirs has joined hands in the ecumenical movement.

This revelation was alarming to them as they couldn’t quite believe Muslims would join with other faiths. They were alarmed to see how this would affect their freedoms into the future. They did not take books, however, they did take photos of the books to do their own research.

This is a common occurrence. Most people in the street don’t realize what is happening in the world. We need to have faith and courage to tell people about God and provide literature to awaken them. I believe the Holy Spirit is with the books and will encourage people to read them and understand what’s happening in the world and search for truth.

On my last visit to the city the highlight of my day was when I met a lady who was excited to see the book table and that we had still some books remaining. It was late in the day and most of the books had been handed out. She was an avid reader and was amazed to learn they were religious books. This lady said she used to be a Christian and had drifted away. She also explained that she had been very sick. She then noticed the Ministry of Healing and that’s when the tears started. I offered her a hug which she accepted and we were able to pray with her.

The lady explained that it was providential to find the table and that the book and prayer was exactly what she needed. In further discussion she explained her father is a minister of another religion and that she thought she knew a lot. I offered her Bible studies. However, she opted to read the books she had accepted first. We hope and pray she will read the books and return. Either way we hope and pray the Holy Spirit continues to work in her life and bring her back to God.

This is another great example of why we need to continue to pray for our loved ones and the people we encounter in our lives.
